Is it possible to add two Google Analytics Accounts to a Search Frontend (HH Theme)?

Hi team,

I’d like to know if there’s an easy way to add two Google Analytics accounts to the Search Frontend (HH Theme) in order to track in two separated Google Analytics accounts.

In Global Settings & Locale Configuration | Hitchhikers (Optional Properties >> Google Analytics) there are instructions on how to add the GA tracking ID to the global_config.
I assume this pre-built integration is made for adding one ID and I was wondering whether there are any options to easily add two IDs.
In case there’s no pre-built option, can I place two GA Tracking Code Snippets somewhere else in the frontend?

Any help is highly appreciated!

Hi @Hauke_Hagen,

You’re correct - the relevant property (googleAnalyticsId) only accepts one ID.

From our viewpoint, it would be a weird experience to push the same analytics to two separate Google Analytics accounts. Can you tell us more about why you would want to do this?

Thanks for confirming my assumption on the pre-built integration.
The customer who requested this didn’t provide more details on their use case but I assume they have different departments using two separate GA accounts.
I’ll comment here once they’ve provided more info on why they want to track in two accounts.
