Knowledge Graph - Module 5 - Assessment

Hi team,

I created the Promotion Custom Field Type and Restaurant Promotions custom field. I’ve checked my setup with the challenge and it keeps marking my submission for these two fields as incorrect. Would you be able to advise? I’ve checked the naming of each field, field types, the custom validation, etc. and I cannot find any descrepancies. I also jumped ahead in subsequent modules and my current configuration looks correct.

It seems I have same issue.

It looks like you both are encountering different issues.

@Chris_Heagen Unfortunately, we don’t let users control the API / resource name of field types and it looks like when you first created the type you named it “Promotions”. You’ll need to delete it and the custom field and recreate both to proceed. We’re looking into ways to loosen up the grading here, but it’s important to name things carefully in the system so keep that in mind as you continue through the challenges.

@Tsuyoshi_Koga You are having an issue with the Restaurant Promotions custom field (not the field type). You have this set as Type: Single-Line Text but you want the type to be Promotion. You’ll need to delete the field and recreate it. The end result should look like this:

Thank you so much. I passed it! @Liz_Frailey

Makes sense, thanks Liz. In the meantime until the grading is perfected, it could beneficial to add this as a common issue. The current issues mention that the display and api names for the custom fields and subfields need to align with the challenge parameters, but this same tip is not mentioned for the custom field type.

My module assessment is the exact same and looks exactly like the solution from what I can tell. It is also embedded in and for future hitchhiker assignments involving Restaurant Promotions. Can anyone advise?

Hi Ellie,

It looks like originally you created a Custom Field Type of “Promotions” (rather than Promotion) and then afterwards changed the Display Name. The API name of the CFT doesn’t update when you change the display name, but we’re checking explicitly that the field you create uses the promotion custom field type.

Could you recreate the Custom Field Type with the correct name (Promotion) and then recreate the custom field Restaurant Promotions, as you have it?

I seem to be having a similar problem on step 4, though all of the other steps are marked as correct. I’ve double checked all of the name spellings and I’ve completely redone step 4 and 5 but it keeps telling me my custom field type is incorrect.

Hi Juhi,

I took a look at your account and it looks like you’re passing all the rules! Were you able to see the same thing? Let us know if you’re still having an issue submitting.

Thanks,
Alyssa

Hi Alyssa! I actually tried it again completely from the top a few days later and passed. Not sure what I did differently, but I probably just misread something the first time. Thanks for your help!
