Setting up Linked Entity Fields in Search

What are some best practices when setting up linked entities and then optimizing those for search? I am looking to link conditions/specialties/and providers for a healthcare client.

I’ve set up 3 custom fields: conditionstreated (linked), specialtiesLinked, and professionalsLinked. Here is a screenshot of my set up for the specialtiesLinked field:

The information about which entities should be linked was successfully uploaded into the KG.

When I go to add these fields to the search configuration, I get the error that the field is invalid.

Are linked entity fields not eligble to be searchable? What would be the best way to pull that information into the search experience and set up static filters?

Hey Sarah!

You can use the subfields (i.e. c_linkedSpecialties.name) as searchable fields. Some subfields are invalid for search, but I know names are allowed.
