How should I handle Unavailable Listings?

Hi team,

I have a lot of unavailable listings in my account. Is there a best practice I should be doing to avoid having these listings go unavailable or is there someone I can reach to help me fix these listings? Majority of them are coming from Facebook and Google.

Many thanks as always!

Hi Francisco,

Great question. If a listing status is Unavailable, it means that your data is not being synced to a specific publisher site. Listings may be unavailable for a variety of reasons. Some may be resolved by you, while others may need to be resolved by Yext support. And some are unavailable due to publisher limitations where there is no action to take.

  • To view actionable issues, click Listings in the top navigation bar, then click on the Locations sub-tab. Next, click on the Advanced Filter button, select Actionable as the filter, and set it to Yes.
  • To understand how you can take action on unavailable listings, review this module: Listing Statuses | Hitchhikers
  • You may need more help troubleshooting listing issues. If that happens, our Support team and Publisher Operations teams are here to help you make the most out of your investment. If you’ve purchased Premier Support, you can select one or more unavailable listings in the Location Listings table and choose Select Action > Escalate Issues.

You can read more about this in our Escalate Listings unit.

Lastly, if your unavailable listing is related to Google my Business, check out our Common Google My Business Listing Troubleshooting unit.

Let me know if those help you get your listings live, or if you have any further questions!
