I’m working with a client who is having issues adding a custom field of type “Entity List” to their Answers Config. The error message explains that the field is invalid.
Why is this field invalid? We get the same error message when only applying “text search” as well, FWIW.

Great question. Since this field is of type “Entity List”, c_associatedCategory is a list of entities rather than content you can search on. You’ll actually have to pick a field on the linked entity that you’ll want the Answers algorithm to search on. Currently, just the name field of linked entities can be searched. In this case, you would search on c_associatedCategory.name.
