Hi Team,
One of my client’s is a funeral directors and often has customers searching by a person’s name in search of their funeral notice or obituary. We don’t currently store these notices / obituaries as entities in Yext so instead they want ALL name searches to return an FAQ. This FAQ has been created but I was wondering if anyone had any advice on query rules we could add so that all name searches return said FAQ.
My concern is the algorithm is unlikely to know if a query is a person’s name or something else, so I am wondering if this can be achieved through Regex.
Let me know, thanks.
Hi @Scott_Howlett ,
there’s a pretty extensive thread here in the community about best practices for name search:
Searching People’s Names
Would a setup following the best practices outlined in this thread combined with boosting results from the FAQ vertical meet your client’s requirements maybe?
Thanks
Stefan
Hi Scott,
As you mentioned, it’s a bit difficult to use Regex to capture all name searches. Since you’re looking to surface this FAQ for most searches, maybe a promo vertical or a persistent banner could help?
See here on how to add a promo vertical and this unit on how to use HTML to add a persistent banner.
Best,
Kristy
