Answers Analytics - Popular Queries tracking and Source URL

Hi -

I am curious about the following two components of Answers Analytics:

  1. Is there a way to know when someone writes a query out vs when the click on popular queries in the autocomplete? I am curious about the influence of popular queries on searches.

  2. Is there a way to know the source URL for queries — what page they are on when they search? Home page or another page? I have my search bar on most of my pages and would like to understand if a user is mostly searching from the Homepage or from a specific product page (e.g., when are they not finding an answer on a page and then go to search)

Let me know what you think!

Alyssa

@Alyssa_Hubbard Thanks for your question!

Currently we do not support tracking whether a search was triggered from autocomplete or displaying the source url of where a search was triggered but these are both great ideas!

We’ll definitely add these to the backlog and get back to you here when we have any updates.
