Answers Final Challenge - Domain is wrongly created

Hi Friends,

I have wrongly created the domain for the jobs site.
Instead of jobs-turtleheadtacos-[accountId].landingpagessbx.yextengtest.com, I used jobs-answers.turtleheadtacos-[accountId].com.

I believe, with this error, I cannot submit my Answers Final Challenge. :disappointed_relieved:   :sob:

Yes, we have learnt that once it’s assigned it cannot be changed.

Is there a way to change it? please help, if any possible way is there to solve this.

Should I delete the site and recreate it again? (i.e. Turtlehead Tacos Jobs)

Hi Kamaraj,

We’ve made an exception for your account to ignore validation for the Domain - you should be able to submit without recreating your site!

Let us know if you run into any further issues.

@afarooque Thanks for the helping me to complete the track. Yext team is awesome.

I am curious to know what the solution is for this, if one has wrongly created the domain and mapped to the site. I am sure, he has to delete the site and recreate it to map it with the correct domain. Is my understanding correct?

Hi @Kamaraj_Mani_Nataraj - you’re exactly correct, because you cannot un-assign a domain the solution would be creating a new site. For this reason we’d recommend holding on assigning the domain until you are ready to share a staging link (after you’ve used Live Preview to ensure the front-end is looking good!)

Hi, @afarooque I’ve made the same mistake of using the repo name for the domain name. Would it be possible to ignore the validation for that part of the challenge?

Hi Michael,

Yes, we can do that. Feel free to submit the challenge whenever you’re ready and it should go through.

Let us know if you run into anything else.
