The UI currently has exports set to the following: “name-date-epoch”. Is it possible to remove the last set of unique numbers, so that the file name ends after the date?

Definitely! In this case, the client is using exports in a third party platform. They want the name of the file to always be the same so that they can use the filename as a constant, I believe. The epoch string at the end makes it difficult for them to account for.
