Fill in Empty Cells Transform (November '21 Release)

With this Release we have added a new transform in the Data Connectors framework.

Now, when creating a Connector you can apply the ‘Fill Empty Cells’ transform. This will allow you to provide a static value to fill any empty cells within a selected column.

For example, if a franchise business was uploading contact emails for their locations into the Knowledge Graph and several locations did not have specific contact emails filled out, the administrator could fill out the transform with the general contact email to fill out all blank cells in the column.

To do this:

  1. Click Add Transform in the sidebar of the Connector configuration screen
  2. Select Fill Empty Cells from the list of available Transforms.
  3. Select the column from your dataset that you would like to pull the data from. You can also toggle ‘All Columns’ if you want to apply this transform to your entire dataset.
  4. Enter the value that you would like to add to the relevant empty cells.
  5. Click Apply.

You can learn more about Transforms, and the other transforms that are available with Connectors in the Transforms training unit.
