Stop words still appearing in text search matches

Hi Community,

I am running into an issue where a word that has been added to the list of stop words is still being used to search for results when running a query.
This might be a special case as the stop word is also the brand name this experience is running under.
There are other stop words added which work fine.

I am happy to hear your suggestions and am thankful for every hint to resolve this.

Hi Max,

Welcome to the Community! We do recommend using the brand name as a stop word if the brand name is found in much of the searchable content and would skew results. This was a bug that we raised to our engineering team and should be working now! Thanks for calling it out.

If you’re seeing the same issue, I’d recommend first having another pair of eyes look over the experience to check that the setup looks right, but it is indeed not working as intended. Then if it’s still not working, we’ll want to escalate this to engineering to take a look as it is likely a bug.
