Suspicious search activity coming from unexpected country

Greetings,

While QA’ing my client’s Answers analytics, I noticed a high amount of repeated searches originating from a country I would not expect for this experience. The client is based in Germany, the search logs are apparently coming from Vietnam. The searches are for individual people’s names which seems like an odd search to repeat over and over again. It almost looks this was done by a crawler.

Is this something I and or the client should be concerned about?

Thanks for being so diligent with your search logs and sending in this question! This is probably not anything too concerning.

However, we would recommend setting up the bots blocker for your search experience:
In layouts > headincludes.hbs add

<meta name="robots" content="noindex">

Hopefully the bots blocker discontinues any egregious suspicious search activity!
