I am trying to install Yext CLI on a Windows environment, but the installer seems to stop right after the “Gathering required information…” screen. I have tried to run it as admin, and nothing changes. I downloaded the installer from the link provided in the hitchhikers installation guide: Installation | Hitchhikers
Resolved (Kind of): Even though the installer was crashing, the CLI was still getting installed, just not to the default location. I found the CLI installation on a secondary drive and had to move it to the appropriate location as well as set it correctly in my PATH. After this, the CLI was working as expected.
Thank you, Geoffrey! Do you recall the version of the Windows Operating system? This information will help us replicate the issue.
I tried this on two machines with similar results. One was a VM, Windows Server 2016, the other was a desktop running Windows 10 Home.
