Answers - Using Clickable Card Type for FAQs

Hi team,

One of my clients is looking to have a full FAQ Experience, but rather than our traditional accordion card type, they want to have just the question display with a link out to the individual landing page for the FAQ.

I suggested the product-standard type with a CTA that takes the user to the landing page, and they inquired about having the full card be clickable. I know we have a fully clickable card type out (product-prominent-image card type). However, a few questions -

(1) If we are to use the product-prominent-image card type, can we use it without an image displayed? Is that recommended? Are we able to add a CTA despite the entire card being clickable?
(2) If we are to use the product-standard card type with a CTA displayed, is there another workaround to make the full card clickable?

Thanks!
Zoe

Hey Zoe,

While it is recommended to use the faq-accordion card type to allow end users to more easily find the answers to their questions, you can absolutely utilize other card templates.

To make the card fully clickable, utilizing the product-prominentimage-clickable card type is the easiest way! Using the default card would show only the Question and make clicking the card redirect to the Landing Page Url. You could then add any custom styling and hover effects you’d like.

Making the entire card clickable while also having a clickable CTA within that broader clickable card container would technically be possible with further custom code but is not recommended as it creates a confusing user experience.

Hope this helps!
