Aria changes for js integrated searchbar on client site

Hello,

I am working on Ent’s answer experience rn and they are running into some ADA non-compliance issues with the searchbar they have integrated into the header on their site. It looks like there are a few aria roles that are not correctly included, and its missing a label for the corresponding form input. How can these changes be made for an integrated answers experience? I understand its more straightforwards for the iFramed ones.

Hi Peter,

  1. Could you confirm the client is on the most updated version of our Search Bar library? Answers Search UI - Searchbar Only Changelog, and instructions are here, Initialize the Library | Hitchhikers. Let us know once you’ve confirmed if there are other changes needed.

  2. We are making a change in the upcoming spring release to move the aria-expanded from the autocomplete wrapper to the input. This will be fully released in May.
