Infer filters - can multiple be applied?

Hi, is it possible to have 2 NLP filters applied on a query or does the system only allow one?

Yes. E.g. “Advisor near New York” would apply Advisor and New York.

If the inferred filters overlap then it will try to pick the best one across all Knowledge Manager backends.

Hey Max!

I have a question that is similar to this but a little bit different.

If I search a zip code “10028”, can this be an NLP match on 2 different fields? For example we have NLP filters on

  • Entity type 1 - Zip Codes (custom field)
  • Entity type 2 - builtin.location

Or will it only match & surface one entity type?

Hey Jessie,

In a single vertical, only one NLP filter can be triggered off of any given search. In this situation, utilizing text search on the fields in question may be a better option.
