You are likely encountering a similar topic to @jyorke where there is a conflicting place match with the first or last name in the query. In the post, @Max_Davish outlined how we use BERT to predict a name vs. location search when the query could mean different things. There is also a blog post here that could help provide more context.
In short, this is likely expected behavior given how BERT works today. Soon (in an upcoming release), you’ll be able to train this model and submit filter overrides directly in the Yext platform. More to come there!
