Phrase-specific One Way Synonyms

Hi team,

This post was inspired as a potential solution to a use case described in this community post, but I wanted to separate them out as they are separate requests/ideas.

I have come across a few use cases where it would be helpful to have the ability to set a one way synonym for an exact phrase/specific query in answers rather than for all queries. For example, to configure queries for “phone” to return similar results as “locations near me”, it would be helpful to set a one way synonym in our system between those phrases only when “phone” is by itself rather than a query that includes “phone” such as “phone number for billing department”.

I believe this also could help limit noise in our system for many use cases that synonyms currently solve where conflicts in intent arise.
