Facebook Posting | Yext Hitchhikers Platform
Overview
Customers with a linked Facebook account can post to Facebook through Yext.
Setup
When setting up Social for Facebook, you will need to make sure you have Facebook account(s) and pages set up. How you link your accounts and set up locations in Yext will depend on the type of page structure you have set up in Facebook.
You need a few things ready:
- A Facebook Account: You need a Facebook account to link to Yext and your entities.
- For steps to link your Facebook account with Yext, visit our How to Link Facebook help article. It may take up to 24 hours after an Instagram account has been connected to a Facebook page to be able to post through Yext.
- When you link your Facebook and Instagram accounts to Yext Social, we will pull all posts, comments, and direct messages (DMs) from those publishers within the past 180 days.
- Admin Access: Your Facebook account must be an Admin of the business page you are trying to connect and post to.
- Locations in Yext: Your individual stores/locations must already exist inside Yext as entities.
Once you have those, pick the page structure below that matches how your business looks on Facebook.
Note: If you have multiple structures (e.g., brand/child pages and standalone pages), you can set up both. TO do this, you will need to utilize the steps for each type of page structure for the relevant entities.
