TikTok Posting | Yext Hitchhikers Platform

Setup

In TikTok:

1. Create a TikTok account and ensure it is set as a public account.

In Yext:

1. Navigate to Account Settings > Linked Accounts > TikTok > +Link another account.
   • OAuth: Sign in with TikTok account credentials, accept all requested scopes.
2. Assign location or brand entity that should be scoped to the TikTok linked account.
   • You can only assign one TikTok account per brand / location.
3. Ensure the selected location entities have the Social package assigned.

• Publish multi-image (carousel) posts
• Publish videos
• TikTok post previews
• AI caption generation
• Set Interaction Abilities, Set Audience (TikTok specific)

Create a TikTok Post

TikTok posts can be created via the Calendar by navigating to Navigate to Social > Calendar. From the Calendar, select + New Post.

Additional Post Settings

TikTok requires that users complete several additional settings when publishing a post via a third party provider.

Media and Video Guidelines

Below are the media and video requirements for TikTok posting. Note that images and videos cannot be uploaded to the same post.

Media:

• Max Size: 5 MB
• Max Image Height: 1080p
• File Type: JPEG
• File Formats: JPG, PNG, WEBP, GIF (Static Only)Max File Size: 5mbMax File Count: 35

Video:

• Length: 3s - 10min
• Aspect Ratio (Recommended): 9:16 (vertical)
• Min Video Resolution: 360 x 360 pixels
• Max Video Resolution: 4096 x 4096 pixels
• Frame Rate: 23 to 60 frames per second (FPS)
• File Type: Mp4 or MOV
• Video Codec: H.264 (recommended), H.265, VP8, VP9
• File Formats : video/mp4, video/quicktime
• Max File Size: 1000 MB
• Max File Count: 1

Customer is responsible for ensuring that audio included in posts adheres to TikTok’s Music Usage Confirmation. TikTok requires third party publishers (like Yext, Sprinklr, SOCi) to confirm the music usage terms before publishing every post.
