Starter Details | Yext Hitchhikers Platform

Install the Knowledge Base Starter to instantly spin up the foundation for a highly customizable internal help site. This starter includes the template for a full Yext Pages site, including interactive landing pages and a Search experience. After you install, your account will be populated with a few test entities to get you started. You can then create or update your own entities to power your site.

This starter will populate your Knowledge Graph with a few custom entity types to get started. Entity Types include:

  • Card (Contains entity data such as document)
  • Folder (Organizes cards within a given folder)
  • Board (Organized folders onto a given board)

Each entity type above includes entity relationship fields so that you can easily relate cards to their parent folders and parent boards.

This Starter will also install a site that includes:

  • A home page with an embedded Search experience (including Quick Find functionality that searches across verticals): knowledge base starter
  • A Search results page that includes pop-out functionality for the selected card and a CTA to navigate to the card’s parent board knowledge base search page
  • A searchable landing page that allows you to view full cards and navigate between other cards in a given folder knowledge base landing page
  • Clickable breadcrumbs to navigate to other folders and board landing pages
  • Folder landing page
