Step 2: Create API Key for Your Account

The next step is to create an API key within your Yext account that can be used in your API call in Google Sheets.

  1. Within your Yext account, head to the Developer Console.
  2. Click + New App to create a new app in your account.
  3. Enter a name for your app. We recommend you name your app something relevant to this connector. For example: “Google Sheets API App”. Then click Create App.
  4. You just created a new app in your account!
  5. Click on the Permissions row, then click on +Add Endpoint link.
  6. Select Management API > Analytics and select Read-Only. This means that you will only be able to read Analytics from your Yext account to your Google Sheets page. app permission
  7. Click Save.
  8. Copy your API key to use it in your API call in Google Sheets.
