Step 2: Create API Key for Your Account
The next step is to create an API key within your Yext account that can be used in your API call in Google Sheets.
- Within your Yext account, head to the Developer Console.
- Click + New App to create a new app in your account.
- Enter a name for your app. We recommend you name your app something relevant to this connector. For example: “Google Sheets API App”. Then click Create App.
- You just created a new app in your account!
- Click on the Permissions row, then click on +Add Endpoint link.
- Select Management API > Analytics and select Read-Only. This means that you will only be able to read Analytics from your Yext account to your Google Sheets page.
- Click Save.
- Copy your API key to use it in your API call in Google Sheets.
