Introduction | Yext Hitchhikers Platform
Follow this guide to install either the ECL Menu Connector, ECL Menu Item Connector, or both together. See below for more detail on what installing each connector will achieve and choose the right connector(s) to install for your use case.
ECL Menu Connector
Installing this connector will create a single entity in the Knowledge Graph for each entire menu stored currently as an ECL. For example, an ECL menu called “Summer Menu” with a “Breakfast” section that includes a “Fruit Salad” menu item will be converted into one entity called “Summer Menu” with subfields containing the section and item data.
ECL Menu Item Connector
Installing this connector will create a single entity in the Knowledge Graph for each menu item stored across all of your Menu ECLs. For example, an ECL menu called “Summer Menu” with a “Breakfast” section that includes a “Fruit Salad” menu item will be converted into an entity called “Fruit Salad” with subfields containing the menu name and section data.
Both the ECL Menu and ECL Menu Item Connectors
Installing both connectors together will allow you to create Menu entities, Menu Item entities, and entity linkages between menu item entities and menu entities.
