Step 1: Create an App in your Yext Account

Before installing either the ECL Menu or Menu Item connector, you will need to create an app in your Yext account and copy the API key generated by the app.

  1. Navigate to the Developer Console.
  2. Click Add App. Grant read-only permissions to the Management API Entities endpoint.
  3. Within your app, click the API Credentials tab, then API Keys > Show API Key. Copy this value somewhere you will be able to easily access it throughout the rest of the steps in this guide.

Tip
If you have already installed either the ECL Menu or Menu Item connector and would like to install the other connector, you can reuse the same Yext App and API Key.
