Enabling the Fork Fields Feature

To enable the Fork Fields flow in your account, click the profile icon in the lower left-hand corner of the navigation and go to Account Settings > Account Features. Toggle on the Fall ‘23: Field and Field Type Forking (Early Access) feature.

If you don’t see this feature available in Account Settings, contact Yext Support or your Client Success Manager.

Choosing a Field Type

When forking fields and field types to replace Legacy Rich Text, you can choose between these two new field types:

  1. Rich Text (v2): A what-you-see-is-what-you-get (WYSIWYG) rich text editor, based on Lexical.dev
  2. Markdown: A field type using GitHub Flavored Markdown
