In the past few decades, content management systems (CMS) have migrated to the cloud, making data easily accessible for remote users. Certain third parties, however, maintain an on-premise version of their CMS, where data is stored locally and cannot be accessed via the cloud.

Creating API integrations with on-premise data sources can be difficult, as they typically lack URL endpoints that developer platforms (including the Yext Connector framework) require in order to pull or post content. There are, however, a few workarounds that allow users to access information from on-premise data sources.

This guide will provide an overview of these solutions, including step-by-step instructions for how to pull local data into Content.
