Prerequisites
This guide is part of the Consumer Auth Initiative to create Authorized Search Experiences. Please refer to this Consumer Auth Overview guide before getting started to make sure this is the right option for you. Additionally, if you would like to integrate Private Yext Sites, refer to this guide instead.

Overview

Using Yext Auth, you can authenticate users and secure your entire site all within the Yext Platform. The following steps will walk you through how to configure the Yext IDP to secure your site (outside of Yext), and then set up Authorized Search to make sure the right people see the right content.

Yext Account Requirements

To begin, you will need to make sure that you’ve created a Yext account that has the following features turned on:

  • Authorized Search (this can be found in your Yext account by navigating to Account Settings > Account Features)
