Step 2: Upload the Publisher Plugin

Now that the Slack notifier app is built, you will need to upload a function to your Yext account that passes relevant information every time a new review appears in your account.

  1. Go to Account Settings > Account Features and turn on the feature Summer ‘23: Trigger Serverless Functions in Apps (early access). Click Save.

  2. Click here to begin the process of applying the Slack function to your account.

  3. Click Apply in the top right corner.

  4. Input your Account ID and ignore the namespace input. You may need to click Start Authorization Flow to authorize changes to your account.

  5. Click Continue.

  6. Input the Webhook URL that you copied from Step 1 of this guide, as well as your Account ID.

  7. Click Save, then Continue, then Confirm.

  8. You can confirm that these files have been successfully added by logging into your Yext account, and navigating to Developer > Admin Console. Then open the following file path to confirm you see the new files: platform > plugin > slackReviewsPublisher.
