  • Value of using Assets

Why Use Assets?

There are 2 primary reasons to use assets:

  1. You’re adding the same resource repeatedly throughout the Yext platform and you want to make sure you can quickly and easily apply the content.

    Examples:

    • Business logo
    • Slogans
    • Repeated stock imagery
    • Templated review responses
    • Templated social posts

Think about the content that you or your team adds frequently – add it once and then apply it whenever you need it.

  2. You want to empower field users to make updates and you want to make sure the content is on-brand and easily accessible. In these cases, the content does not need to go through additional approvals.

    Examples:

    • Promotions
    • Featured articles, images, products, or menu items
    • Pages cover photos
    • Google or Facebook cover photos
    • Templated review responses
    • Templated social posts

Think about ways you can include more people from your organization to contribute to Yext, empower them to feature the content they think is most relevant to their entities, and get consumers the best information possible.
