- How to manage labels across your account
What is an Entity Label?
Labels are like tags that can be applied to entities. They can help you organize your entities internally without making changes that would be visible to anyone who is on your website or using your Search experience.
Creating and Managing Labels
You can create new labels in Content in three ways:
Go to Content > Entities and click on the plus sign under Labels in the left-side navigation.
Go to Content > Configuration and select Labels under the Entity Management section. Then, on the Labels screen select + Add Label in the upper right. You can also use this page to view, edit, and delete labels, as well as see how many entities are using each label.
Edit an individual entity or bulk-edit multiple entities. Locate the Labels field (under the Internal Use Only section, usually at the bottom), and enter a new label value. This both creates the label and assigns it to the entity or entities being edited.
Common Entity Label Use Cases
There are a lot of different reasons to use Entity Labels in the platform.
To easily access a set of entities that would otherwise be difficult to filter to
To easily access a set of entities outside of Content (e.g., on Reviews, Analytics, etc)
To keep track of entities that you need to do something with later, e.g., fix a data problem or update for seasonal changes, like holiday hours
You can have up to 200 labels in your account and assigned to an entity.
