Overview

The Analytics tools in Yext allow you to report on your listing performance. There are two ways of using Yext Analytics for Listings:

  • Listings metrics: individual data metrics that you can use to custom-build reports in Report Builder.
  • Listings insights: pre-built reports composed of Listings metrics

This unit will go over how to use Listings metrics and insights for some common use cases, and where you can go to learn more about Listings reporting, Yext Analytics, and Report Builder.

Listings Reporting Use Cases

Below we will go through how you can leverage certain metrics, and insights to understand more about your Listings, and how users are engaging with your brand.

To access reporting for Listings, go to Analytics in the navigation bar.

  • Build custom reports using Listings metrics under Report Builder.
  • Create dashboards with your custom reports, or pre-built insights, under Dashboards.

Listings Overview

The Listings Overview insight is a simple snapshot of your overall Listings performance. It’s a useful addition to a high-level dashboard.

The metrics included in the Listings Overview insight are:

  • Entities: All entities in your account
  • Total Listings Live: The number of listings with a status of Synced
  • Listings Updated: Listings updated during the selected time period
  • Duplicates Suppressed: Duplicate listings that were suppressed during the selected time period
  • Publisher Suggestions: Data suggestions received from publishers received during the selected time period.

Listings Actions and Impressions

The Listings Actions and Listings Impressions metrics can help you understand how customers are interacting with your brand, and where they are finding you.

Listings Actions are the specific actions that can be taken from your listings. This includes website clicks, click-to-call, Order Delivery CTAs, and whatever other actions are available on your listings across publishers.

google actions

Listings Impressions are the number of times your listings appeared in search results across Google Maps, Google Search, Bing, Facebook, and the publisher network.

You can use these metrics in Report Builder to understand more about the actions people are taking on your listings and how your listings are being found:

  • Total Listings Actions
  • Total Listings Impressions
  • Apple Listings Actions
  • Apple Search Taps
  • Google Listings Actions
  • Google Listings Impressions
  • Google Search Term Impressions

Listings Accuracy

The Listings Accuracy metric displays the percentage of entity fields on a listing that correspond to accurate data on publishers.

You can add this metric to reports to see your listings accuracy by entity (e.g., to view how accurate your listings are by region, by entity type, or other entity-related information) or over time. To do this, add Entities or Time as a dimension on the report.
