What You’ll Learn

In this section, you will learn:

  • What happens to listings when they are no longer managed in Yext

Overview

When a listing is no longer managed by Yext, it will still remain live on the publisher site. However, Yext will stop sending data to publishers. For publishers with dual-sync integrations, Yext also stops receiving publisher data.

When a listing is no longer managed by Yext, the publisher will:

  • Stop sending listing analytics and other data to Yext
  • Remove the “Owner Verified” attribution logo on the listing
  • Accept data from services other than Yext to manage the listing

How Listings Appear After Yext

Publishers may continue to use listing data that has already been received from Yext, even after a listing is opted out.

In the absence of Yext or another provider actively managing a listing, data for each listing may change over time as the publisher relies more heavily on other non-direct sources. These can include data aggregators and crowdsourced or user-generated content.

Since each publisher takes a different approach, this will happen at a varied pace and could lead to a disparity of data from publisher to publisher.
