Post here for feedback on how the community is working.
It could be interesting to have a “Feature Requests” category built in to learn from the community how the Answers experience can be improved. In browsing other community forums, these Feature Request threads/topics are among the most utilized/responded to (Netlify, GitHub as examples).
I really like that idea! @Victor_Dadfar will you create one?
We’ll need to check in with Product Leadership before we go live but it’s great to have for now. It would be interesting to know if any of the forums DON’T have that. Post examples if you find any!
Not an example of a forum without this feature (yet!) but Okta handles product feature requests in an interesting way (separate from their forum) through a process they call Okta Ideas which is a more standardized/democratized way of doing it and though more complicated, does seem easier to handle on the product side of things.

A few more notes here:
- Squarespace does not include Feauture Requests/Bug Reporting or related topics on their support forum (wasn’t scalable for them). This doesn’t stop people from posting feature requests but they are never responded to and this makes users frustrated. They currently direct people with feature requests to customer care but the drop down list they make you select from on that site does not include feature requests as an option…
- Microsoft on the other hand approaches new features more like Okta (ie: separately from their forum). They specifically manage these through a third party vendor called UserVoice.
There’s definitely risk to including a feature request topic but my two cents is that people will submit feature requests one way or the other and they’ll be more manageable for us (at least in the early stages) if they are all captured in one place.
