I find one of the questions misleading. It mentions adding the “Job” entity to a Medical organization knowledge graph, and the answers point to having more traffic about hiring and experienced doctors. Shouldn’t the entity be “Job Listing” rather than “Job”? To me the entity JOB would more likely point to what are the services offered rather than what positions are in need of hiring, hence the Job Listing entity being more appropriate.

I’m really just looking for clarification on this, I assume this is a rookie mistake.

Hi Nicolai,

The way we use “jobs” in the examples in Hitchhikers are to mean roles open for hiring (so what you’re saying is a “job listing” is called a “job entity” in the Yext platform). We also use this meaning for the default Job entity type in the platform: “Use this type to add information about available jobs to Yext.”

The way you’re thinking about “job” as services offered would more likely be called “Services” or “Conditions Treated” in the Yext platform.

Hope this clears things up!
