Our client is curious about the different options for work flows for configuring the answers experience that we can set up in their account. Specifically they want to know if they have flexibility to set up either a top down or collaborative approval workflow structure. Do you know if this is possible? I know we can do custom workflows for KG but wanted to see if the same was true for answers. Thank you and please let me know if you need clarification on what we are asking for.

Is your client looking to create an approval workflow for the KG content that feeds into their Answers experience? If so, this works the same way as setting up approval workflows for the KG (for users only, not publishers since we’re not syncing to Listings here). You can learn more in the Content Approvals and Suggestions module.
For workflows related to configuring any other parts of your Answers experience, please communicate directly with your Yext Admin and they can work with you to set up a process.
