Event > Date/Time > End date marks the deletion of the page

In our project the Event pages are evergreen, so we keep them for long periods of time even if the event has ended. This allows us to accumulate SEO authority on the pages and reuse them every time the event is repeated.

The problem is that the Event > date field marks the end of the page: When the end date arrives, the page is automatically deleted.

Question A) Is there any way to avoid this? We are currently cheating the situation by marking a false end date (e.g. year 2030).

Question B) If there is no way to avoid automatic deletion of pages, we will continue to cheat the date. But now comes the second problem:

By doing this, the JSON data markup is incorrect because it picks up the fake date.
We are trying to make a Custom Schema Markup mapping the date to a different field of Event / date & time but we have tried fields of text, date, etc … and we do not get that none of these fields is available in the Field Reference.

Any solution is welcome, both to avoid deleting pages and to complete the “endDate”: “startDate”: fields with the Field Reference.

Hi Lolo,

Unfortunately, that behavior is not configurable in the Page Builder product today.

Could you kindly submit this as an idea to the Hitchhiker Ideas board? We will assess the demand for this feature request, and prioritize it against the rest of our backlog as soon as we can.

Best,
Luc

Done, thank you for your reply
