This previously wasn’t supported, but you can now pre apply filters from the URL with Answers Search UI version 1.8!

A great search experience is one that brands want to link to from all sorts of places, besides a search bar! We have customers that want to link out to their search results from many different places within the site. Oftentimes, these are targeted or contextual use cases, like including a search to all doctors with a specialty from that Specialty’s landing page. We’d love for you to try it out and let us know how it works for you. To confirm the format, you should upgrade your Theme and Answers Search UI version, then check out how the URL updates when you apply the filter. These params can be used to link to the experience pre-filtered.
