How does my Answers experience compare?

Hi team -
I’ve just launched a client and sent them the analytics report for their first week after launch with metrics such as number of searches/clicks, top searches, and most-clicked entities. As a gut check, I’m wondering how these numbers compare to the performance of other Answers experiences. For example, what does a click through rate of 25% mean? Is that good or bad compared to other clients or websites? What about the number of searches or sessions I’m seeing?

I’m currently looking at a free trial healthcare client that only has FAQs and CDC FAQs. However, I’m sure this question will come up with later clients, so any guidelines at a high level, by industry, or by entity type will be helpful!

Thanks!
Kristy

Following up on this post, I’ve learned that it is difficult to create benchmarks for click-through rates and number of searches/clicks as they really depend on a variety of factors:

  • industry of client
  • entity types included in the search experience
  • click types
  • specific CTAs used
  • type of content and fields users can search for

Instead, it’s helpful to compare a client against itself over time.
