Limiting Zoom capabilities in Location Vertical

Hi!

For an answers location vertical, is there a way to allow a user to only zoom into a certain point to prevent them from not seeing the exact location of a facility?

For context, my client only wants to use the location vertical as a locator to show how many locations they have and general areas of where they are located, not actual addresses. I’ve updated the card to just show the names of the locations (no address or any other location specific content), but you can still technically zoom in all the way to a specific facility to see where it is (which the client does not like). Is it possible to stop this?

I am using an override of a location-standard card and a half page map setting.

Thanks!

Hi Tyler - unfortunately this isn’t something we configure; it depends on the maps provider rather than anything that’s inherent to the actual Answers experience. Our default maps provider is Mapbox; more context is found in their documentation (specifying that it’s not possible to set a min or max zoom).

It’d be interesting to know more about the use case - how would it be beneficial for this client to not show the exact address of a location?

Best,
Katja
