New user as owner in Google Search Console

Good morning,

We have received a message from Google Search Console (tool in which we have verified the property/subdomain for the project with an account nº 3379065) that a new user has become an owner of the verified property in GSC. That user is analytics-logger-3@analyticslogger-149620.iam.gserviceaccount.com

We would like to know if that is a user created by Yext?

Thanks for your patience while we took a look at this. Yes, this is a Yext user - we use this to pull in the analytics from GSC directly into your Yext account. We will work to make this more clear in our documentation going forward.

Yesterday we received a response on this same question from Yext Support. They confirm that analytics-logger-3@analyticslogger-149620.iam.gserviceaccount.com is not a Yext user (support request #1200594)

Honestly, we are a bit confused given the disparity of information provided by both sides. Please, could you contrast in order to assure us about what information we can safely use.

I’ve connected with both Alyssa and our support representative to clarify this matter for you. I can confirm for you that analytics-logger-3@analyticslogger-149620.iam.gserviceaccount.com is a trusted and verified Yext account. It is appropriate for it to have access to Google Search Console as it is only used to import Google Search data into your Yext account.

We will clarify both our internal and external documentation to make this more clear going forward!
