Pull in data from Slack into the Yext Knowledge Graph with the new Slack Data Connector!
You can use this connector to:
- Pull in all Slack channels from a workspace
- Pull in all Slack users in a workspace
- Pull in all messages and threads from channels of your choice
- Pull in only pinned messages from channels of your choice
The connector is flexible so you can choose which data from Slack you want to pull into Yext and use in Pages and Answers.
It’s really easy to get started! Log into your Yext account and navigate to the App Directory. Find the Slack Data Connector and click install. Link your Slack account* and choose what data you would like to pull in (channels, messages, pinned messages, replies). If you choose to pull in messages or replies you will then be able to choose which channels you want to pull in that data from.
*If you aren’t an admin on your Slack workspace, you may need to request approval. We recommend having a Slack admin install this connector.
*If you choose to pull in messages we will pull in the 10,000 most recent messages. If you also choose to pull in replies/threads, we will pull in the 50 most recent threads from each channel.
