Introduction | Yext Hitchhikers Platform

Overview

Single sign-on (SSO) is an authentication method that enables users to access multiple applications with one login and one set of credentials.

Types of SSO Yext Supports

Yext APIs make it possible for you to deliver Yext features to your users entirely via our API interface. However, you may prefer to integrate the Yext platform into your existing user dashboard, giving your users direct access to their information in Yext. Yext supports two types of SSO integrations: SAML SSO and Signed Link SSO.

Signed Link SSO is primarily for Partners who want to enable SSO for their customers, and iframe our platform. This guide will walk you through the steps to set up and Sign SSO.

SAML (Security Assertion Markup Language) is the industry-standard SSO solution. If you are already using a SAML Identity Provider such as Okta or Active Directory Federation Services, then you should authenticate via SAML rather than the Signed Link method. For instructions to set up SAML SSO, visit the SAML SSO guide.
