Introduction | Yext Hitchhikers Platform
Overview
Generic destinations enable you to send your ingested data to any API — whether that is a Yext API or any third-party system. You can use generic destinations with any of the available data sources, transforms, and scheduling functionality already available in Connectors for any use case that requires moving data between two systems.
In this guide, you’ll learn how to create a generic destination connector using the Send to API connector destination.
Note
Run breakers,
dry runs,
and
run modes
other than “Default” are not currently supported for generic destination connectors.
Before You Start
If you plan to use the Send to API destination to send data to a Yext API (as opposed to a third party), you will need an API key. To generate an API key, follow Step 2 of the Get Started with the API guide.
