Step 1: Choose Your Field

Prerequisites

You need the Manage Custom Fields permission to access the Fields page and configure a Computed Field Value. If you do not have this permission, reach out to an admin on your Yext account.

The first thing you need to do to leverage Computed Field Values is select the field you want to apply the computation to. You can start with an existing custom field, a built-in field, or create a new custom field. For steps to create a custom field, visit the Create a Custom Field help article.

To do this:

Navigate to Content > Configuration.
Click on the Fields tile.
Click into an existing custom field (or create a new custom field).
Click on the Computation Method tab.

Once you have selected the field you wish to compute the value for, you can start configuring your Computation Method.
