What is a Locator

Search-powered locators allow users to find store locations based on search criteria. A store locator is an amazing way to visually direct website visitors to relevant business locations.

By combining Yext Search with a front-end map component, it is easy to deliver high-quality search results in an interactive and appealing map format.

What You’ll Build

By the end of this module, you will build a Locator for Turtlehead Tacos that:

  1. Allows users to search for Turtlehead Tacos locations in various cities
  2. Displays locations on a good-looking map

Note that locators can be built using any Maps provider. This example goes through building a locator with MapBox because we have a built-in Search component for it.

You’ll be amazed at how easy it is to integrate this sophisticated and slick piece of tech into your Pages site.

Plus, you can reuse all of the components and patterns in your own Pages sites to set up a fully-functioning locator in a jiffy.
