Common Entity Types in Financial Services
There are a lot of types that are common in financial services accounts, this includes:
- Location - this can be used for banks, insurance offices, wealth management firms, or other places where a customer interacts with a financial services professional.
- Financial Professional - this should be used for any financial services professionals like insurance agents, financial advisors, or mortgage officers in order to be delivered to listings.
- Events - this can be used for any events that a location, professional or brand would host
- Jobs - this can be used for available or featured jobs at banks, offices, agencies or firms or at the brand’s corporate offices
- FAQs - this can be used to store common customer or client questions to help cut down on support costs and improve customer experience
- Financial Products (Custom) - many financial services companies will store their products in Yext. This could range from Credit Cards to Account Types to Loan Types or any other financial services product. We don’t have built-in types for things like Credit Cards or Mortgage Products. The built-in “Product” entity type is optimized for consumer goods – you can choose to use it, but we’d probably recommend just creating a custom entity type for these that are more specific to the use case.
- Services (Custom) - many financial services companies will store services performed at Locations or by Professionals like Direct Deposit, IRA Management, Business Insurance or Notary Services, among others.
- Local Services (Custom) - many financial services companies will want to create a custom type for Local Services that describe one of their services specific to a location or services area if they want to have a landing page for these services
- Offers (Custom) - many financial services companies will use custom types to store offers like Credit Card offers
