Hi there,

I have a few enhancement requests for role management in the platform

1.) Ability to clone built-in roles
User Story
As a user with “Full Control”,
I want to be able to clone a built-in role (i.e. make copy and save under different name) from “Account Settings” > “Role Management”,
so that I can customize it by adding or removing specific permissions and do not have to start from scratch.

2.) Ability to view permissions granted to built-in roles in detail
User Story
As a user with “Full Control”,
I want to be able to view the specific permissions granted to the built-in roles (same screen as “Edit Role” for custom roles, but in read-only mode) from “Account Settings” > “Role Management”,
so that I understand the permissions associated to the role in detail and can make informed decisions when creating a custom role from scratch.
Comment: This could also be achieved by request 1.) above.

3.) Ability to delete a custom role
User Story
As a user with “Full Control”,
I want to be able to delete a custom role when no longer needed AND no users are assigned this role (any more) from “Account Settings” > “Role Management”,
so that I do not have to rename it (e.g. “Do not use”) when no longer used, but still create confusion.

Thank you for your requests here. I wanted to let you know about our new Ideas board. Ideas is a new feedback platform within Hitchhikers where users can submit product ideas or feature requests. I’d recommend moving each of these to Ideas so you can track statuses and comments from our Product team, and receive upvotes!
