Step 1: Set Up GSC for Pages

Overview

When creating a new page with Page Builder (see Guide: Getting Started with Pages ), there are a few steps you need to take to ensure that GSC analytics are available for your page in the Yext platform or in Google Search Console directly.

Turn On “Automatically Generate Sitemap” Setting

To ensure that Yext receives Google Search Console (GSC) analytics for your page, you need to turn on “Automatically Generate Sitemap” for your domain in the Yext platform. This can be done by going to Pages > Domains in the navigation bar and clicking the Options dropdown menu next to your domain. In the dropdown, select Sitemap Settings.

Navigate to sitemap settings

In the modal, select On and Save.

Automatically generate sitemap

When you do this, a GSC account will be created and the domain will be automatically registered to one of the Analytics system emails, which will look similar to: analytics-logger@analyticslogger-149620.iam.gserviceaccount.com. This will allow Yext Analytics to pull GSC data from the Search Console API and display them in the Yext platform.
