Step 5: Add to Search

Since we are pulling in new entity types from Drupal, you’ll also have to add them to your Yext Search experience, or create a search experience after you’ve pulled in your data.

You can visit the Get Started with Search guide for a walkthrough of how to add a Search experience or how to add a new vertical within an existing experience.

  1. In the navigation bar, go to Search and click on your search experience.
  2. Click Configuration and then Verticals in the navigation bar.
  3. Click on the Settings for: drop-down and select + Add Vertical. A dialog box appears.
  4. Select the entity type you would like to create a vertical for and click Add Vertical.
  5. Then you will want to configure your vertical by adding things like Searchable Fields, and Facets.

You can find additional information on verticals in the Vertical-Level Configurations training module.

Once you have configured Search to include your Drupal entities, you’re ready to add Search to your Drupal site!
