Edit Featured Snippet

So when I get a Featured Snippet suggested, I can see that it displays as Rich Text. But if I go to the Vertical (Search), and test a search, click Edit Results and try “Train Featured Snippet” on Edit Search Results page, the Featured Snippet is just plain text, not Rich Text. Is there any way I can Edit them with Rich Text?

Hi Alejandro,

This is possible within Experience Training. Great point about Edit mode - would you be able to submit an Idea? Our Product team will then track and get back to you on the progress of implementing something like this.

Best,
Alyssa

Hi Alyssa,

But within Experience Training can I tell Yext which search query is the one that needs to show the Featured Snippet? I thought I can only edit the queries suggested by Yext

Thank you
Alejandro

Hi Alejandro,

Gotcha, I thought you were trying to edit a featured snippet’s rich text. Are you saying you want a specific query to return a featured snippet and it is not currently?

Alyssa

Hi Alyssa,

Correct! The client wants for a specific query “how do i add wildcards to a campaign search”, to get a featured snippet from a specific post entity. I can do that on the “Edit Results” but not on the training section. But on Edit Results I can’t edit with rich text, as is possible on the training section.

Is there a workaround for this? Or how can I make sure Yext shows a featured snippet for my query on the training section?

Regards,

Alejandro
